I think most of what kept me reading this series was the sexual tension, which appeals to the It doesn’t get Eddie Vedder than this shirt silly teenage girl aspect of me. With the wedding and the horrendous pregnancy, the love triangle became more painful than sexy-angst inducing, and it really took the wind out of the sails for me. She does supplement that with tension from various other life/death plot
